WiseCare Joins MHN to Promote Men’s Health 2018 National Campaign: Preventative Screenings
Every June, Your WiseCare Providers and Staff Celebrate Men’s Health Month – and Men’s Health Week from June 10-17, 2018 with Preventative Health Screenings.
WiseCare helps raise awareness throughout the month of June by celebrating Men’s Health Month, sharing educational health information and performing preventative health screenings in our Severna Park and Pasadena medical centers. We provide preventative screening services to boys, teens, and men in an effort to increase health awareness.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), women are 100% more likely than men to seek preventative health care.
It is believed a lot of men don’t like to talk about their health issues because they feel societal pressure to act strong and tough it out — but there’s nothing tough about ignoring symptoms and letting your body suffer.
An unhealthy lifestyle can have long-term negative effects on you as well as on your family, so it’s important to be aware of what you’re putting in your body and how it can impact your health and happiness.
Whether you want to check your blood pressure or discuss more specific health concerns, you will find helpful guidance and resources from your WiseCare providers.
How We Help
Our primary care providers offer a nurturing environment so our patients and their families feel secure, safe, and comfortable. We encourage a dialogue with our patients because addressing their concerns, worries, or questions ensures they remain an active partner in the treatment process.
We ask our patients to make healthy lifestyle choices, schedule regular annual visits to the doctor, get educated on heart disease or diabetes, start general health conversations with their male friends, and much more.

Where Compassion, Care, and Convenience Come Together
Your family’s day-to-day living should be full of healthiness, happiness, and wellness. Sometimes, however, sickness and illness can prevent you or your family members from enjoying some of life’s best moments. Rather than viewing symptoms, pains, or diseases as conditions that simply need to be treated, we actually focus on the unique needs of our patients. By taking a patient-focused, needs-based approach to primary care, we are able to offer you effective and efficient healthcare services that allow you to restore your health and return to living life normally.
Our Board Certified physicians can provide customized treatment for patients of all ages. To schedule an appointment for preventative health screening and/or primary care services, book online at www.wisecaremd.com or call 410.255.7900 today.
What is the “Wear BLUE” Initiative?
Since 1992 Men’s Health Network (MHN) has helped men assess their health status and learn how to identify and treat cardiovascular disease, STDs, diabetes, and other common illnesses among boys, teens and men.
MHN promotes Men’s Health Week by encouraging everyone to show support of men’s health and raising awareness by wearing the color blue on Friday, June 15, 2018.
Every year, on the Friday before Father’s Day, MHN promotes the campaign by encouraging everyone to “Wear BLUE”.
Wear BLUE is a program designed to raise awareness of men’s health issues within your community while at the same time raising money for MHN.
Another way to show your support is to donate to the Men’s Health Network. Consider giving today to invest in the health of men and boys. All contributions to Men’s Health Network are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.
